SKIN PACKAGING
Skin packaging is a packaging technique used to securely package products. It involves placing a product, often a small item on a flat backing card or tray. A clear plastic film, typically made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride), is then tightly draped over the product and the backing. The plastic film adheres to the contours of the product, creating a “second skin” or a clear, protective layer that closely follows the shape of the item.

ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY PACKAGING
Packaging in a glassine bag utilizes translucent and grease-resistant glassine paper to enclose and protect items. These bags offer visibility of the contents, moderate protection against moisture and grease, and can be customized with branding.

1. The Challenge “HITACHI CASE”
Can you make an O-Ring kit which is easy-to-use and contains 350+ high precision O-Rings?
One of our customers had an issue with an existing O-Ring Kit. The previous packaging was not easy to work with for their technicians.
2. The Process
Together with the customer’s marketing department we gathered the required information in order to understand the goal. Based on the provided information we created a new custom O-ring Box. We presented the new design to them and there was no doubt that the new design was a perfect (but also feasible) solution.
We started to manufacture the new packaging within days.
